Precision LT1 and LT4 Cylinder Porting

In 2017, Katech is celebrating 40 years of engine design, prototyping, testing, R&D, manufacturing and vehicle modification. Our racing engines have won dozens of championships, and the streets are peppered with vehicles carrying the Katech brand. Our experience and knowledge gained on the motorsport tracks have allowed us to create precision street performance products and services. One of these services is cylinder porting.

Our Gen 5 LT1/LT4 cylinder porting, for example, was developed in-house using the same methods we have applied on other DI projects. This is strictly an airflow path unlike other port fuel engines of the past. We attacked the Gen 5 using the engineering and validation processes we apply in all of our winning racing engine programs. Engine dynamics are very important when developing cylinder head ports. Airflow numbers are used as a test point, which is just another step in the process. Everything we port at Katech is tested on our Dynos and in a real-world environment. Our manufacturing department maintains very tight tolerances to ensure you receive the highest performing cylinder head possible.

If you are interested in cylinder porting for your Corvette C7 Grand Sport, Stingray, Camaro SS, Corvette Z06, Camaro ZL1, or Cadillac CTS-V, learn more about our discounted LT1 and LT4 porting services on our product page.
