Katech Repairs the Original StreetSpeed717 Corvette

The infamous StreetSpeed717 C7 Z06 is at Katech, and the master engine builders are giving it some TLC to get it running again. Over the course of the next several week, we will be posting several video updates about the Corvette repairs to our YouTube channel. We will add links to the videos here as they are available. If you have any questions, requests or comments, you can leave them here or on YouTube.

How to Video: Cylinder Head Disassembly and Reassembly

Katech offers CNC Cylinder Head Porting services for a variety of engines. For LT1 and LT4 blocks, our proprietary porting technology delivers 332cfm on the intake and 239cfm on the exhaust, compared to the stock 295cfm intake and 221cfm exhaust at .700 lift.

Many of our customers bring their cars to us for this service, but if you are interested in sending in your cylinder heads for porting, watch this video as Katech Senior Engine Builder Doug Roberts demonstrates how to disassemble and reassemble cylinder heads with hand tools.

Once you remove the cylinder heads from your car and disassemble them to completely bare condition, wash them, box them up with plenty of bubble wrap and send them to us at the address below:

Katech Inc.
Attn: Cylinder Head Department
24324 Sorrentino Ct.
Clinton Twp., MI 48035

We’ll return them for you to reassemble and reinstall in your vehicle. For a limited time, CNC porting for LT1 and LT4 blocks is only $499.99 per pair.
